Lorenzo Robert Savage III

Rob has dedicated his life to serving and protecting the lives of others from the moment that he decided to pursue a career in law enforcement as a graduate from the University of Virginia.

As a native of Herndon, Virginia, he began his law enforcement career in 1988 employed by the Fairfax County, Virginia Police Department as a uniformed patrol officer in the Mason District and West Springfield District Stations and subsequently as an honors intern for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A few years later, he elevated his career aspirations.

Rob earned a highly coveted position with the United States Secret Service (USSS) in 1993 as a special agent assigned to the Washington Field Office, providing protection to four Presidents. His meritorious service in the USSS has not only inspired many but has been highly decorated with awards such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary’s Award of Excellence for his position as National Special Security Event (NSSE) Coordinator during 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting in Hawaii – the 38th NSSE attended by 21 World Leaders including the US President. Other honorable appointments include:

  • Assistant to the Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Division 2004-2006
  • Assistant Inspector – Inspection Division 2006-2007
  • Assistant Special Agent in Charge – Las Vegas Field Office 2007-2010
  • Assistant Special Agent in Charge – Dignitary Protective Division 2010-2012
  • Assistant Special Agent in Charge – Los Angeles Field Office 2012-2014.

His assignment as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge saw him rise steadily to the peak of his career. By 2015, he was appointed to the Senior Executive Service, as the Special Agent in Charge of the Los Angeles Field Office – the third largest of the Secret Service’s 42 field offices. Here, he successfully oversaw all Secret Service protective, investigative and intelligence investigations, including tactical operations and administrative programs, ensuring optimal security and safety levels for the Los Angeles area.

After his retirement from the United States Secret Service in April 2018, Rob decided to extend his expertise of over 25 years in the USSS to the corporate sector. As a CEO for a private security company, he quickly realized the shortcomings of the current security models and set out to reinvigorate and elevate the golden standard of executive protection. Being a tried, tested and trusted expert security professional, Rob epitomized his passion for serving and protecting people and founded Savage III, Inc.
