Executive and corporate security professionals are required to have a specific knowledge and skill set to ensure the safety of individuals they protect. These foundational concepts include various methodologies which can be applied to domestic and foreign protective matrices.
Students will learn about the laws governing use of force and liability by corporate security practitioners. They will learn the elements involved in securing locations including residences, hotels, aircraft, boats, and other venues. Students will learn how to secure vehicle and aircraft assets within the protective matrix, leverage technological and cyber based resources used in security operations, and apply physical protection strategies and deployment formations all within the business operational environment.

This is the second course in a three-course series on Executive Protection. In this course, students will continue to expand their knowledge and skills sets in the area of executive and corporate security. Students will focus closely on site planning and coordinating communication plans with the client and additional security staff both private and public. Students will understand asset allocation for executive protection for a variety of travel modalities including aircrafts, maritime, and convoys. A greater focus on vehicle travel will be emphasized in this course including arrival and departure tactics for various scenarios, as well as, detecting counter-surveillance, evasion and egress when inside building or other locations.

Executive and Corporate Security professionals are required to have a specific knowledge and skill set to ensure the safety of individuals they protect. This advanced course increases students’ knowledge and skills to handle high threat level situations in the protection of principles and their families. Students will understand how to coordinate the protection of principles involving multi-member executive protection teams and apply this knowledge to high-level situations. They will expand their knowledge to expertly handle motorcade operations including identifying pre-attack ambush indicators, understanding avoidance techniques, and ambush responses. Students will also increase their knowledge of high-level building defense protocols including attack responses and evacuation protocols.
• Certain professional knowledge/experience aspects and skill sets are required before taking this course.
• Students may be current or prior private security employees, Executive Protection providers, and/ or law enforcement/military personnel assigned to or supporting security of individuals.
• Courses must be taken in sequence (beginner, intermediate, advanced)
Rob earned a highly coveted position with the United States Secret Service (USSS) in 1993 as a special agent assigned to the Washington Field Office, providing protection to four Presidents. His meritorious service in the USSS has not only inspired many but has been highly decorated with awards such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary’s Award of Excellence for his position as National Special Security Event (NSSE) Coordinator during 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting in Hawaii – the 38th NSSE attended by 21 World Leaders including the US President. Other honorable appointments include:
William J. Cameron served as a Special Agent in the US Secret Service for 22 years in a variety of roles and posts including the Presidential Protection Division. He provided protection to Presidents Bush (41) and Clinton, serving as the Lead Advance Agent and Site Coordinator during the 1993 Presidential Inauguration, the 1992 Republican National Convention and the 1990 G-7 Economic Summit. In addition, Cameron supervised a 12-member task force investigating financial organized crime, working with federal, state, and local police officials. Participated in the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and the National Threat Assessment Center.
After retiring as an Agent, Cameron spent seven years as the Director of Corporate Security at two international corporations before returning to the US Secret Service as the Division Chief & Emergency Management Coordinator, where he served for an additional ten years.
Jason Warren is currently the CEO of Warren Investigations, Inc. He specializes in threat investigations and security assessments. He is a retired United States Secret Service agent with more than 20 years of experience working with staff and corporate executives, political figures, and royalty. He has also worked as liaison with law enforcement, fire departments, and international law enforcement agency personnel. He is well versed in all aspects of protection and has provided physical protection throughout the United States and internationally for presidents and vice presidents, their families, and visiting senior dignitaries.
Julio C. Barrera is a former US Secret Service Special Agent with more than 20 years of operational and managerial experience. During his career, Special Agent Barrera handled several assignments in the protection of US Presidents and foreign world leaders and venues.
While assigned to the Presidential Protective Division, Special Agent Barrera planned and directed security operations for the POTUS and other Cabinet officials domestically and internationally. During the latter part of his career, Special Agent Barrera was an instructor at the International Law Enforcement Academy based in Latin America where he taught among other subjects, “Executive Protection Principles.” Special Agent Barrera was also selected to teach on behalf of the Department of Justice a course in basic crime scene principles in Mexico.
Richard Podkowski gained over twenty years of federal law enforcement experience as a career Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Secret Service. His domestic assignments included the protection and coordination of advance security plans for U.S. Presidents, senior government officials, foreign heads of state, and major events designated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). His domestic duty station assignments included Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Los Angeles.
He also had numerous assignments protecting U.S. and foreign officials in various international venues. Richard is a fluent Polish speaker and traveled throughout Poland and Eastern Europe on both investigative and protective missions. Additionally, Richard has extensive experience with the investigation and suppression of foreign and domestic organized criminal enterprise, protection of the U.S. financial critical infrastructure, and support of DHS protective intelligence initiative.
